"Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne" is a Bengali language fantasy film from 1969. Gopinath is the poor son of a farmer who dreams of singing, but cannot due to a hoarse voice. After being exiled for insulting the king, Gopinath meets Bagha, another exile. While both of them lack an affinity for their ideal careers, they decide to use their singing and drumming to scare a tiger. However, they also perform loudly enough to draw the attention of "bhuter raja," the king of ghosts, who grants them three blessings.
