Hart's War is a American prisoner of war drama directed by Gregory Hoblit, the director of such notable films as The Fallen and Fracture. The drama stars Colin Farrell, Bruce Willis, Terrance Howard and Marcel Lures. Though the film received a very mixed critical reaction from film critics and tanked at the box office it has developed a fair following with many critics reassessing the film more favorably in recent years. Hart's War was released in February 2002. The plot of the film revolves around Thomas Hart, portrayed emotionally by Collin Farrell, a newcomer to World War Two. He is unaccustomed to war and is captured and taken to Stalag 6 in Germany where he must match wits with ranking prison officer McNamara, played here by Bruce Willis. Friends and enemies quickly find him and the more he tries to dig himself out of the trouble of his situation the more Hart realizes that not everything is as it seems.
