This haunting and captivating motion picture tells a tale of corruption and greed. The film is set during the reign of Spanish King, Phillip II. The film portrays a time in which betrayal and murder were quite common if it benefited selfish desires. On the evening of the very holy holiday of Easter, in 1578, a group of cold blooded killers assassinated Juan De Escobedo, the treasury secretary of the royal family. Due to the very nature of the crime and the manner in which it was carried out, a large investigation was conducted of those close to Phillip II.
