Awake is a crime drama series on NBC that premiered in 2012. The show follows the story of a police detective named Michael Britten, played by Jason Isaacs, who finds himself living in two different realities after a car accident with his wife Hannah, played by Laura Allen, and their son Rex, played by Dylan Minnette.

After the accident, Michael wakes up in two different worlds - one where his wife died in the crash, and another where his son Rex died instead. In each reality, he has a different therapist. In the world where his wife is alive, his therapist is Dr. Judith Evans, played by Cherry Jones, while in the world where his son is alive, his therapist is Dr. John Lee, played by BD Wong.

As the series progresses, Michael must navigate these two different realities while also solving crimes in both worlds. He uses information from both realities to help him solve cases and bring justice to victims. For example, he might get a clue in one reality that helps him understand a case in the other reality.

The show also explores Michael's relationships with his family members in each reality. In the world where his wife is alive, he tries to come to terms with her death and move on with his life. In the world where his son is alive, he tries to protect him from danger and keep him safe.

As Michael's two worlds begin to overlap and bleed into each other, he begins to question what is real and what is not. He becomes increasingly desperate to find answers to the question of why he is experiencing two different realities.

The show is known for its intricate and complicated plotlines, which keep viewers guessing and engaged throughout the series. The performances of the cast, particularly Jason Isaacs, are also highly praised for their depth and complexity.

Overall, Awake is a thought-provoking and suspenseful crime drama series that explores the human psyche and the power of perception. The show raises profound questions about reality and identity, and will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.

Awake is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (16 episodes). The series first aired on March 1, 2012.
