Two best friends, Jimmy and Fletch, are feeling down on their luck after a string of failed relationships and dead-end jobs. In an effort to cheer themselves up, they decide to go on a hiking trip in the English countryside. However, their plans take a terrifying turn when they stumble upon an isolated village plagued by a group of lesbian vampires.

The locals believe that the vampires are the curse of a long-dead witch, and that every year they must offer up two virgins to feed the beasts. Forced to hide out in the small village, Jimmy and Fletch find themselves in the company of a group of young women who are the next set of sacrifices. The girls are also searching for the witch's crypt with the hope of finding a way to end the curse and destroy the vampires.

The two friends are initially drawn to the girls, but soon learn that they are all in grave danger. They must band together and fight against the bloodthirsty vampires before becoming their next victims. Along the way, Jimmy and Fletch encounter a variety of eccentric characters, including a wheelchair-bound professor and a mysterious barmaid, who may hold the key to breaking the curse.

With a comedic edge and plenty of gore, Lesbian Vampire Killers is an entertaining horror romp that doesn't take itself too seriously. Paul McGann portrays the wheelchair-bound professor, who brings a gravitas to the film, while James Corden injects humor as the bumbling yet endearing Fletch. MyAnna Buring shines as the tough and determined leader of the virginal women, who refuses to be a victim.

The film treads familiar territory with its vampire plot, but sets itself apart with its unique twist on the genre. The concept of lesbian vampires may sound cheesy, but it's executed in a way that feels fresh and fun. The filmmakers don't shy away from the sexuality of the vampires, but they also don't exploit it for cheap thrills. Instead, the film focuses on the horror and the humor, delivering a balanced mix of both.

The scenic English countryside provides a beautiful backdrop for the film's action, while the village setting adds to the overall sense of isolation and danger. The special effects are impressive, with the vampire makeup and practical effects adding to the film's overall charm.

While Lesbian Vampire Killers may not be for everyone, it's an enjoyable horror comedy that delivers on its promises. Fans of the genre will appreciate the nods to classic vampire films, while those looking for something a little offbeat will find plenty to enjoy. This film is a lighthearted and entertaining addition to the horror canon.

Lesbian Vampire Killers is a 2009 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 26 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.1.
