The Craft is unearthly terror movie about four teenage girls discovering the power of witchcraft and the consequences that come with that power. New girl Sarah Bailey (Robin Tunney) moves into town and is desperate to fit in at the high school. She befriends a group of girls that are known to practice witchcraft. Sarah also begins to like and hang out with one of the popular guys, Chris Hooker (Skeet Ulrich). Before Sarah befriends the girls, she practices witchcraft so when the girls discover she already is into witchcraft, they feel they have found the one to complete their circle. Things are going well until a nasty rumor is going around that Chris spreads about having sex with Sarah. Sarah is devastated, but still likes him. Sarah decides to cast a love spell. The another girls Rochelle (Rachel True), Bonnie (Neve Campbell), and Nancy (Fairuza Balk) are casting their own spells against others or for themselves. Chris soon becomes head over heels in love with Sarah, Rochelle's nemesis starts losing her long hair, Bonnie has no more scars on her back, and Nancy makes her stepfather have a heart attack and pass away. Seeing that their spells are working, the girls become power hungry. All of the girls' personalities change to the darker side. Nancy becomes the most power hungry, casting spells to kill Chris after an attempted rape of Sarah. Sarah decides to cast a binding spell in taking Nancy's power. The rest of the girls find out and revenge begins against Sarah. They find out that she hates snakes and bugs. They give her nightmares being covered in snakes and convincing her that she should commit suicide. Nancy decides to cut Sarah's wrists, but fails when Sarah casts a self healing spell on herself. Finally she beats back the girls and binds Nancy's powers. All of the girls' powers are gone, except for Sarah's.
