Love, Honor, and Obey is a mock gangster film written and directed by Dominic Anciano and Ray Burdis (who also appears in the film) as a follow to their film Final Cut. Starring Jude Law, Johnny Lee Miller, Rhys Ifans and Sadie Frost. Interestingly enough in this movie all but two of the actors’ characters are the same first names as the actors themselves. This movie is about Johnny a mail carrier that is bored with his mundane, quiet life. He wants to be more like his friend Jude who is a polished and successful member of a gang. Looking for some glamour and excitement in his own life, he convinces his childhood friend Jude (Jude Law) to help him gain entrance and acceptance in the North London Gang, which is run by Jude’s Uncle Ray Kreed (Ray Winstone). Johnny gets accepted and is ready for action. He wants to immediately start causing trouble, mayhem and violence but that does not happen as he thought it would. He soon begins to grow impatient with Jude’s Uncle Ray who is more concerned with his coming marriage to popular soap opera star Sadie (Sadie Frost) than causing trouble and living what Johnny thinks is the “gang life”. Out of impatience and greed Johnny and Jude (after a little convincing) decide to pull a credit card scam which they think will make them rich and will make Ray notice them more. Johnny decides to use his mail-carrier position to steal credit cards and charge them, but they inadvertently end- up botching the scam and then make an even bigger mistake when they steal high grade drugs from a South London Gang. The South London Gang is headed by Sean (Sean Pertwee) and his second-in-command Matthew (Ifans). The robbery causes a gang war to erupt between North and South London and Johnny and Jude must work to help control the gang fight and keep themselves alive. They must also explain to Ray how the gang fight got started and while they were causing trouble without permission.
