Taxi is a comedic film starring Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon. Queen Latifah plays Belle, a bike messenger who has dreams of becoming a professional driver. Belle has a souped up taxi cab and she wins a taxi driver’s license. Jimmy Fallon plays Andy, a New York City detective who is a terrible driver. One day, while involved in a gunfight, he drives into a storefront, destroying it. He is instantly demoted to foot patrol. Belle is driving by a bank robbery one day and she ends up getting involved. Her car gets impounded as evidence and Belle is held as a witness to the crime. She is upset because she cannot afford the time off of work. Andy agrees to help her get her taxi back sooner if she will drive him around to help him solve crimes.

Andy and Belle then work together to find out who is responsible for all these bank robbery. They soon realize that a garbage collector is involved. It turns out that the robbers always put the stolen money into the trash and the garbage collector picks it up. Andy and Belle catch up to the garbage collector and he tells them that his is forced to help the gang because they have kidnapped his wife.

Andy and Belle then begin to look for the kidnappers. Their investigation leads them to find out which bank branch the gang intends to holdup next. They surprise the robbers, who take a hostage. Andy and Belle then pursue them across New York City. There is a lot of gunfire and Belle is wounded. Andy has to take over driving. He manages to capture the gang and arrest them. He then drives Belle to the hospital where she is treated and survives.

Taxi is an Action, Comedy, Thriller, Crime movie that was released in 2004 and has a run time of 1 hr 37 min. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.5 and a MetaScore of 27.
