Maa Tujhhe Salaam is an Indian patriotic drama film released in 2002. The film was directed by Tinnu Verma and produced by Mahendra Dhariwal. It stars Sunny Deol, Tabu, and Arbaaz Khan in prominent roles. Set at the backdrop of the Kargil War, the movie revolves around a professional Indian army officer Major Pratap Singh (Sunny Deol), who is tasked with the responsibility of thwarting Pakistani army's attempts to infiltrate into Indian territory. But while he is busy defending his country and wiping out the enemy forces, he gets to learn about his father's declining health. His father, an ex-army officer, expresses his wish to see his hometown of Manali once before he dies. Faced with conflicting emotions, Major Pratap sets out on a mission to complete his duty of defending his country and meeting his dying father.

Meanwhile, a young woman named Reshma (Tabu) also enters the scene. She is the daughter of the younger brother of Major Pratap's father. She is a social worker, who has come to Manali to work with the tribals. Despite living all her life in the city, she is passionate about helping the underprivileged people living in the surrounding villages. Soon, the paths of Major Pratap and Reshma cross, and they begin to develop feelings for each other.

Amidst all this, the Indian army engages in a fierce battle at the Kargil border, trying to neutralize the enemy's plans of capturing the Indian territories. The film captures the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian soldiers at the warfront, who battled all odds and emerged victorious in the end.

The film features some exceptional performances from the lead actors. Sunny Deol, as always, shines in his role as an army officer. He brings the right amount of intensity and conviction to his character, making the audience root for him throughout the movie. Tabu, on the other hand, delivers a nuanced performance as a confident and headstrong woman, who is not afraid to speak her mind. She complements Sunny Deol's character perfectly and adds a much-needed layer of emotional depth to the story.

Arbaaz Khan, who plays the role of Major Pratap's cousin, also delivers a convincing performance. He is shown to be a greedy person who only wants to inherit his father's wealth, without caring for the welfare of his uncle or his cousin. The script also highlights the importance of family values and how family helps us stay grounded, even in the most challenging situations.

The film's music, composed by Sajid-Wajid and lyrics by Sameer, is a highlight. The songs are soulful and capture the essence of the film's theme. The choreography of the songs is also excellent, and the locations used for the shoot are breathtakingly beautiful.

Overall, Maa Tujhhe Salaam is a well-made film that packs a punch. It is a patriotic movie that is not just about the war at the border but also about the sacrifices that our soldiers make for the country. It is also a touching story about family, love, and duty. The film's climax is especially emotional and will leave you with a lump in your throat. If you are a fan of patriotic films or just looking for a movie to get inspired, then Maa Tujhhe Salaam is definitely worth watching.
