Damien Thorn is the Anti-Christ. The Thorns are a rich and powerful family, and Damien has reaped the benefits. It wasn't always easy for him, though. Both his father and his uncle discovered his secret lineage when he was young and tried to kill him. He survived both of those assassination attempts to grow into a handsome young man fully aware of his demonic heritage. He sets out to fulfill his evil destiny. The U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain commits a mysterious suicide, and Damien takes his place. This office is one that his adopted father held before being murdered by the forces of evil. Damien is now in a position where he can do real harm. Damien worries that a sign in the stars heralds the Second Coming of Christ. He organizes his forces to find the Nazarene to destroy him before he himself is destroyed. All children born on the morning of March 24th are to be killed. A priest and his retinue hunt for Thorn and hope to destroy him before Damien can destroy the Christ Child. Damien engages in a game of deceit with a journalist who has become infatuated with him. He brainwashes her son into his evil cult. She must betray the priests and reveal the location of the Christ Child to free her son from Damien's control. The high priest anticipates this bargain and uses the location he tells her as a trap to attempt to kill Damien with a sacred dagger. Before he is able, Damien shields himself with the journalist's son. Damien then strangles the priest as the boy lies dying from the errant stab wound. All is not lost, however, because the Christ Child is born, and Damien's power begins to wane.
