Pressure is a thrilling action-packed movie from 2002, directed by Richard Gale and starring Kerr Smith, Lochlyn Munro, and Angela Featherstone. The movie revolves around the story of six friends who get caught up in a nerve-racking adventure while exploring an underwater facility. The film takes place in the dark corridors of an underwater research facility, where a group of researchers is conducting experiments that could potentially change humanity's fate by removing dangerous gases from the ocean floor. The research team is led by a strict and unwelcoming manager, played by Lochlyn Munro. However, as the days pass, the team starts noticing strange occurrences and inexplicable setbacks.

The group is made up of six men, who are determined to succeed in their mission, despite the harsh conditions in the underwater facility. Among them, there is Robbie (Kerr Smith), who is recovering from a broken marriage; his best friend, Matt (Eric Dane), a former Navy Seal, who is also a contractor on the mission; and three scientists, including the smart and charming Samantha (Angela Featherstone).

Robbie, Matt, Samantha, and the others soon find themselves against a ticking clock, as the oxygen supplies dwindle, and a catastrophic threat emerges. The research crew is hemmed in this underwater facility with limited supplies and no apparent way out. Moreover, the already complex situation gets even more challenging when the security system of the facility malfunctions, leaving the group as potential hostages to the ruthless manager of the facility.

To make matters worse, the team discovers an underground river that leads to an abandoned mine shaft, which they think could be their path to safety. However, getting there is easier said than done, as they decipher the riddles and traps left behind by the previous occupants of the facility. The group has to overcome numerous obstacles, facing backstabbing, fear, and uncertainty in their pursuit of safety.

The movie is filled with tension and suspense, and the director manages to keep the audience's attention at all times. The dialogues are smart and realistic, with each actor bringing their characters to life. The underwater scenes are particularly impressive, and the special effects used to create the underwater facility are noteworthy.

The actors’ performances are magnificent, with Kerr Smith standing out as the emotionally and physically wounded Robbie. His struggle to come to terms with the end of his marriage and the dangerous situation he finds himself in are portrayed beautifully, and the actor delivers an exceptional performance.

Lochlyn Munro's portrayal of the callous and cruel manager is excellent, with his menacing screen presence and cold attitude adding to the movie's already tense atmosphere. Angela Featherstone also stood out as Samantha, the passionate scientist who is ready to fight for the success of the mission. The rest of the cast, including Eric Dane, also deliver excellent performances, capturing the desperation and struggle of the situation.
