Pride and Glory

Pride and Glory is a dramatic film starring Colin Farrell and Ed Norton. The film is a dramatic one about a family of police officers in New York City. Deputy Chief Tierney is the family patriarch and two of his sons have followed in his footsteps and have become police officers in New York City. His son-in-law Jimmy is also a cop. One night there is a shootout and four police officers are killed. The four cops were all under the command of Deputy Chief Tierney’s son Frankie Jr. Ray, another son, is assigned to do a routine investigation and he discovers that the shooting, while initially looking explained, as some shady elements to it. Ray begins to investigate and begins to discover that his brother and his command where involved in some criminal activity. Ray finds that one of the suspects was shot that night and he decides to go and interview him. It turns out that Jimmy and his command were involved with some drug dealers and there are now disagreements between them. Jimmy was trying to knock off a drug lord in order to work with another drug lord and this has now backfired on him. Jimmy is visited at his house by Casado, the drug dealer, who threatens to kill him. Deputy Chief Tierney finds out about the investigation involving his son and son-in-law and he tries to cover it up. He tells Ray to back off on his investigation but Ray is a moral cop and he feels that he cannot do that. In the meantime, Jimmy and his men are running low on money so two of them decide to rob a liquor store. Jimmy is ultimately killed by the drug gang and Ray is forced to testify against his brother-in-law. Frankie, Jr. also must testify.
