Red Eye is an American thriller that was directed by Wes Craven in 2005. It stars Rachel McAdams who plays a hotel manager entangled in an assassination plot by a terrorist played by Cillian Murphy while aboard a red-eye flight to Miami. Marco Beltrami composed and conducted the background music. Shortly after attending her grandmother's funeral in Dallas, Texas, Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) boards a red-eye flight headed for Miami. While at the ticket counter, she meets Jackson Rippner who is played by (Cillian Murphy), who is boarding the same plane she is. Due to poor weather their flight is delayed. Lisa again meets up with Jackson in the bar where they engage in a few drinks and some friendly conversation. When they are able to board, Lisa is surprised that Jackson is seated next to her. After taking off, Jackson reveals that he is part of a terrorist group that intend to assassinate the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Charles Keefe played by (Jack Scalia). Lisa is needed for their plan due to her position as Acting Manager of the five-star Lux Atlantic Hotel. This is where the Keefe family is staying and where the assassination is to take place.
