Behman and Felson decide to leave the crusades, the Order and become deserters so they can return home to their native country of Austria. They travel to a town in Germany where the people of the village have died by the Black Plaque. They transport Anna to the monastery so that the Catholic priest can read from an old book that cast away demons inside the souls of people.
