Silent Madness is a 1984 horror movie that keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat from beginning to end. Gilmore fears for her own life as well as those around her, but despite the horror, she cannot shake the feeling that there may be hope for Johns. With the help of the hospital staff and detectives, Gilmore sets out to track down Johns and bring him back to the hospital. This won't be easy as Johns is a skilled killer who is always one step ahead of his captors.

She is convincing as the determined, compassionate psychiatrist, who is willing to risk her own life to help a patient. Viveca Lindfors delivers a solid performance as Dr. Kruger, the head of the mental hospital, while Solly Marx brings a chilling intensity to the role of Howard Johns. The supporting cast is equally impressive, with each member of the hospital staff bringing something unique to their characters.

The direction of Silent Madness is impressive, with director Simon Nuchtern using his skills to create a tense and suspenseful atmosphere throughout the movie.
