The Children of Huang Shi

This is a story about a British journalist named George Hogg living and working in 1938. He is on a quest to cover a story, and pretends to be a Red Cross Aid worker and sneak into Nanjing, China. He is shocked beyond comprehension when he witnesses the devastation of war in the country. He photographs the ravishes of war, corpses, poverty and utter devastation in the streets. In the course of his work,he discovers over 60 Chinese orphans living unattended and left to their own devices. Hogg bravely tries to lead these children out of China and to a better life.
