The Gift follows one of Jessica King after she goes missing, and most will assume it was the work of Annabelle Wilson (Cate Blanchette). They don’t assume she was a murderer, but they use her as a clairvoyant. Most townsfolk turn to her for answers, and Wayne Collins turns to her for guidance. She doesn’t know if she can help, and she feels as if she can’t, though she can’t stop getting visions of Jessica’s fate.
