Most 11 year olds are either bored with their own life or upset that all the things that are happening to them are actually happening to them. This is a time when everything around you changes and so does everything inside of you. Paloma is not much different; however unlike most 11 year olds, she plans to kill herself on her 12th birthday.

Paloma is fascinated with everything to do with the arts and philosophy and spends most of her time questioning and documenting everything about her life. As her 12th birthday and her inevitable death draws near, the colorful cast of characters in the building where her flat is, causes her to reexamine her life, her situation, and the entire world in general.

This English version of the French film of the same name questions what it is to live and be a young person on the verge of something new, as well as the importance our own inner circle has on our own mental health.
