The Portrait of a Lady is a drama romance in 1996. The film’s main character is a young and beautiful American woman who has just inherited a massive fortune. Things go wrong for the woman when a man comes into her life that is a confidence artist, and is bent on taking her money. The man is also a very sadistic person, and goes beyond that he needs to take her money. This ends up taking what should be the woman’s wonderful and privileged life, and turning it into something terrible. The woman ends up finding that she needs to get out despite her love for the man.
