A horrific bus accident kills most of the children in a small town, and the adults are left utterly wrecked by their grief. They can scarcely function, and into this state of stupor comes a lawyer who is determined to exploit their misery. He talks with the parents and tries to convince them to file law suits against anyone who could be seen as bearing blame in the accident. The more blame is passed around, the angrier the tone of the town becomes. One young survivor of the accident, however, may just hold the key to moving forward with life.
