Bleeding from a bite wound, Sara flees the prison and Fowler uses the opportunity to escape. Nick confronts Fowler, but their fight is interrupted as the vampire chasing Fowler appears and they narrowly escape. Nick learns both the horrible fact that vampires exist and that his sister is becoming one. After a terrified Sara calls her brother but hangs up on him and Nick demands Fowler help him to find her. Sara is on a rampage through the city, killing people against her will as she transforms from human to monster. Fowler reveals to Nick why the vampires are after him. At his home, Nick must imprison his sobbing and horrified sister before she can attack anyone else. Sara frees herself and rescues her brother from an attack by the vampires coming for Fowler before sacrifices herself to the sun. The series ends as a now vampiric Fowler goes up against Nick.
