Apocalypse WWI is a historical TV show that gives voice to the events and people in the war. The narrator gives direct quotes from leaders and dissenters on each side to give a full view of certain events.

The videos and sounds in the show recreates the events that are being narrated; it is clear that the show is that accuracy is a part of the storytelling. Each week goes in depth into specific dates during the war and the significance these smaller skirmishes had on the entire war. With each episode you can see the scope start small, with specific events, and eventually scans out to correlate the connection these events had on the war as a whole.

Apocalypse: WWI Full Episode Guide

  • The possibility ending the war in Verdun is an illusion. Ever since P┬ętain imposed his flawless logistics, the Germans are struggling to advance. The French concentrate all their efforts, including behind the lines, to prevent an invasion.

  • Late 1915. British and French chiefs of staff hope to put an end to the bloodshed through an offensive planned in the Somme for the following summer. But on February 21, 1916, the Germans take them by surprise, setting off a storm of steel over Verdun.

  • 1944: the Soviets continue on the path to towards liberation. On the road to Berlin, they discover the horror of Hitler's extermination camps. Fifteen years earlier, Stalin transformed his country using every means at his disposal.

  • 1942. After blocking the Germans right outside of Moscow, Stalin now faces Hitler's second assault. The world's fate will be decided in Stalingrad. Like in Leningrad, men, women and children, plunged into hell, are sacrificed.

  • The battlefield becomes a slaughterhouse, 16 months into the fight, as five million men are already dead.

  • The war was planned to be glorious and short. But as Germany marches to Paris fear spreads. Men are killed on an unprecedented scale, while the generals refuse to change their tactics. The war continues to go on even with an entire generation possibly being lost

  • Kings rule over the people of Europe in the year 1914. They guide their nations to war with ultimate power. But war threatens to wipe empires off the face of the earth with a new era. Which is the beginning of the Apocalypse.
