This legendary singer has performed at the Apollo early in her career, and gives her invaluable critiques to the amateur talent. Another judge on the show is Doug E. Fresh.

Doug E. Fresh is a hip hop legend who has performed on the current show for the new audience on the show. He also gives his helpful critiques on the performances. The third judge on the show is Mr. Micheal Bivens of the musical group New Edition. Micheal Bivens has been performing for 30 years and is also one third of the group Bell Biv Divoe. This group also performed at the Apollo earlier in his career, and had the opportunity to perform again for a new generation of Apollo audience.

The show is hosted by Tony Rock, who is not only a successful comedian, but also a talented actor as well. The Apollo audience, which is one of the toughest audiences to perform for is entertained by Tony's comedic humor. This comedic humor keeps the crowd laughing and ready for more.
