Bear in the Big Blue House season 1 episode 5 - "Picture of Health" - revolves around Bear's efforts to help his friends stay healthy. Tutter struggles to keep up, but Bear encourages him to keep trying. Next, Bear teaches his friends about the importance of washing their hands. He demonstrates the proper way to wash hands with soap and water and encourages his friends to do the same.
After hand-washing, Bear shows his friends how to make a healthy snack - a fruit salad. Together, they cut up apples, bananas, and grapes and mix them all together in a big bowl. They enjoy their yummy snack together.
Bear then takes his friends outside to play some games in the fresh air. They play soccer, catch, and other fun games that get them moving and exercising. Ojo gets tired after a while and wants to stop playing, but Bear reminds her how important it is to take care of her body.
Before the day is over, Dr. Giggles pays a visit to the Big Blue House to see how Bear's "Picture of Health" day went. Bear shares with him all the things they did and the healthy habits his friends learned. Dr. Giggles is impressed and gives Bear a gold star for his efforts.
The episode ends with Bear's friends feeling happy and healthy, and Bear reminding them that taking care of their bodies is something they should always do.
