In the third episode of season one of Better Call Saul, titled "Nacho," we see the complex world of Jimmy McGill (played by Bob Odenkirk) continue to develop. In this episode, we are introduced to Nacho Varga (played by Michael Mando), a small-time crook who enlists Jimmy's help in a scheme to steal some high-end baseball cards.

The episode opens with a montage of Jimmy's daily routine, which includes taking care of his elderly clients, some of whom are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. We also see him practicing his closing arguments in the mirror and driving around in his old beat-up Suzuki Esteem.

When Nacho first appears on the scene, he's trying to sell some counterfeit watches to a bunch of frat boys. He's a fast-talking, smooth operator who knows how to work a crowd. Jimmy overhears Nacho's pitch and decides to intervene. He convinces Nacho to buy one of his old suits, which he then uses to pose as a wealthy collector of rare baseball cards.

Jimmy and Nacho's plan is to sneak into the storage locker of an old man who's rumored to have a valuable card collection. They plan to swap out the valuable cards with fakes and then sell the genuine ones on the black market. However, things don't go quite as smoothly as they hoped.

Without giving too much away, let's just say that things get complicated and the situation quickly spirals out of control. Jimmy is forced to use all his wits and charm to try and salvage the situation.

One of the things that sets Better Call Saul apart from other crime dramas is its attention to detail. The show is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the scenery and locations are often just as important as the characters themselves. In this episode, we see Jimmy and Nacho driving through the desert, past abandoned buildings and ominous-looking factories.

The cinematography is stunning, with plenty of wide shots that capture the vastness of the New Mexico landscape. There are also several shots of Jimmy's Suzuki Esteem, whose rusty exterior is a testament to his humble beginnings.

One of the standout moments in this episode is a scene where Jimmy and Nacho are waiting in a parking lot for someone to deliver a set of keys. The tension in this scene is palpable, and the silence is broken only by the sound of crickets chirping in the distance.

Overall, "Nacho" is a solid episode that builds on the strong foundation laid in the first two episodes. We get a better sense of who Jimmy is and what motivates him, and we also learn more about the seedy underbelly of Albuquerque's criminal underworld. The performances are all top-notch, with Bob Odenkirk and Michael Mando both delivering standout performances. If you're a fan of crime dramas or just looking for something new to watch, Better Call Saul is definitely worth checking out.
