Ep 2. The Book of Consequences: The Rise of The Green Light Babies: Chapter Two

Season 2 of Black Lightning kicks off with its second episode, titled "The Book of Consequences: The Rise of The Green Light Babies: Chapter Two." In this installment, we see Jefferson Pierce (played by Cress Williams) still trying to figure out how to best deal with the consequences of his decision to become Black Lightning once again. It seems that every time he tries to take a step forward, something pulls him two steps back.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Pierce (played by China Anne McClain) is struggling with her newfound powers, which have been caused by the drug Green Light. She's understandably freaked out by her abilities, which seem to be getting stronger by the day. And to make matters worse, she's being hunted by Agent Odell (played by Bill Duke), who wants to study her powers and figure out how they can be weaponized.

As for the villains, we see that Tobias Whale (played by Marvin Jones III) is still up to his old tricks, but now he's got a new partner in crime – a woman named Syonide (played by Charlbi Dean Kriek). Syonide is just as ruthless as Tobias, and together they prove to be a formidable threat to Black Lightning and the rest of Freeland.

Overall, "The Book of Consequences: The Rise of The Green Light Babies: Chapter Two" is a solid start to the second season of Black Lightning. It's clear that the series is still grappling with the aftermath of what occurred in season one, but it also feels like it's building towards something bigger. The characters are all in interesting places, and it's exciting to see where their individual journeys will take them this year.
