Her K9 partner, Rika, alerts to the presence of narcotics and a thorough search yields a staggering amount of drugs hidden in every nook and cranny of the vehicle. Meanwhile, at the Otay Mesa checkpoint in California, officer Cheung is dealing with a passenger who refuses to answer basic questions about his travels. Under questioning, the man's story seems to unravel, but without any physical evidence of wrongdoing, Cheung is forced to let him go. However, he isn't finished with this suspect yet.
The final segment of the episode takes place at the airport in Houston, Texas, where officers are screening passengers arriving on a flight from Mexico City. One passenger, in particular, catches their attention: a middle-aged man who seems unusually nervous and hesitant to answer their questions. After he is taken aside for further questioning, the officers discover that he has been living in the United States illegally for several years and has just returned from a visit to his family in Mexico. While his fate hangs in the balance, his family waits anxiously on the other side of the security checkpoint.
