Bordertown Season 1 Episode 19 The Bounty Hunter

The episode starts with Bud getting excited about a gift he has received from his wife, Janice. It is an ankle bracelet with a GPS tracker that would help him keep a check on his movement. Meanwhile, Ernesto and Maria are trying to come to terms with the fact that J.C. is acting like a typical teenager and no longer wants to spend time with them.

The next scene showcases a group of migrants who are attempting to cross over the border, but are caught by a man carrying a rifle and wearing a cowboy hat, who introduces himself as Dalton Lobo, a bounty hunter. He is shown presenting the migrants to the Border Patrol agents, who recognize him as a reputed bounty hunter and commend him for a job well done.

Soon Dalton is seen meeting with Sheriff Buck Olmstead, who is impressed with Dalton's work and offers to team up with him to catch illegal immigrants and drug traffickers in the area. Dalton agrees to the offer and also confides in Buck that he is after a bounty of $10,000 for a man named Miguel, who is responsible for the murder of his brother.

Meanwhile, Ernesto and Maria are shown attempting to reconnect with J.C. by trying to bond over his passion for video games. However, their attempts fall short and J.C. storms off, causing Maria to break down in tears. Back at the border, Dalton and Buck are on the lookout for Miguel, and after a few close calls, they eventually find him hiding out in a truck stop.

As Dalton is about to apprehend Miguel, he suddenly changes his mind, telling Buck that he has a different plan in mind. Buck is puzzled and asks Dalton to elaborate. Dalton reveals that he has been tracking Miguel for weeks, but doesn't want to turn him over to the authorities just yet. He believes Miguel can lead him to the real mastermind behind his brother's murder.

Soon, J.C. is seen being approached by two young women who ask him to help them cross the border. J.C., wanting to impress the girls, agrees to help them out and they all sneak into a truck to hide. However, things quickly go south when they are discovered and apprehended by Dalton and the Border Patrol agents.

Back at the station, Dalton is seen interrogating Miguel, but the latter remains tight-lipped despite the threats and coercion. Dalton decides to take matters into his own hands and forcefully tries to extract information from Miguel, causing Buck to intervene and put a stop to the violence.

Just as the situation seems to be calming down, chaos ensues when Ernesto and Maria burst into the station, frantically looking for J.C. The tension in the room is palpable as Dalton and the others realize the young boy is missing. Dalton, taken aback by the seriousness of the situation, offers to help Buck and the Border Patrol search for J.C.

After an exhaustive search, J.C. is found hiding in an abandoned building, and the group is reunited with much relief and happiness. With everything sorted out, Dalton continues his search for the mastermind behind his brother's murder, and Ernesto and Maria re-engage with J.C.

The episode closes with a moment of introspection as Dalton reflects on his own past and the importance of family and relationships in life.
