She has to deal with unwanted advances from her superior, Colonel Moodus, who expects her to be grateful for his attention. She is torn between her desire for independence and her fear of consequences if she resists him.

As the episode progresses, we see how all these different storylines intersect and influence one another. Yossarian's growing disillusionment with the military leads him to consider fleeing to neutral Switzerland, but he is stopped by the fear of being branded a coward. Colonel Cathcart's obsession with raising the number of bombing missions puts the lives of his own men in danger.
