Ep 1. The Big Bang

Charlie Jade is a South African-Canadian television science fiction series that aired in 2005. The show is set in three different universes, and explores the theme of parallel universes and alternate realities.

The first episode of Charlie Jade season 1 is titled "The Big Bang", and it introduces the audience to the main character, a private investigator named Charlie Jade. When he gets up, he realizes that he's in a different world--one that's much more pristine and ordered than the one he's used to.

This world is called "Betaverse", and it's populated by affluent people who live in high-rise apartment buildings and enjoy a high standard of living. Charlie is baffled by this world, but he quickly realizes that he needs to find out what happened. He knows that Vexcor may be behind the explosion, and that they could be using this world for their own purposes.

Charlie begins to investigate, and he soon meets a woman named Reena, who is a scientist working for a company called Betatronix. Reena is concerned about the explosion too, and she agrees to help Charlie in his investigation. Together, they discover that Vexcor is indeed involved--they've used a device called the "Quantum Frame" to create a portal between the two worlds.

The Quantum Frame is a scientific device that allows Vexcor to travel between worlds, but it's also causing major disruptions in the fabric of space and time. Reena believes that the explosion was caused by a "space-time rift", which was created when Vexcor used the Quantum Frame in Betaverse.

As Charlie and Reena continue their investigation, they realize that things are much more complex than they initially thought. There are multiple factions operating within Vexcor, and each one has its own agenda. There's also a mysterious figure called "01 Boxer", who seems to be pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Throughout the episode, we see Charlie navigating the dangerous world of Alphaverse, while trying to uncover the truth about Vexcor's role in the explosion. At the same time, we see a glimpse of his life in Betaverse, and the stark contrast between the two worlds.

"The Big Bang" sets up the overarching plot of the series, which revolves around Charlie's attempts to stop Vexcor from using the Quantum Frame for their own purposes. It's a well-paced and intriguing first episode that leaves the audience wanting more. With its themes of parallel universes, science fiction, and corporate greed, Charlie Jade is a show that's sure to satisfy fans of the genre.
