Ep 1. Chuck Versus the First Date

Chuck season 2 episode 1, titled Chuck Versus the First Date, begins with Chuck on a mission in Tokyo with Sarah. The two are posing as a married couple while trying to recover a stolen computer virus. Just as they are about to obtain the virus, a group of thugs interrupts their mission. Chuck and Sarah are forced to fight off their attackers and escape.

Back in Burbank, Chuck meets up with his best friend Morgan and sister Ellie at the family restaurant. Chuck tells Morgan about his adventure in Tokyo and Morgan is excited to hear all the details. Meanwhile, Agent Casey is undercover in a Buy More electronics store. He's on a mission to track down a Fulcrum agent who is trying to sell a government computer to the highest bidder.

Sarah meets up with Chuck at the restaurant and he finds out that she's been given a new assignment. She's been ordered to keep an eye on Chuck and make sure he doesn't reveal any government secrets. Chuck is disappointed but Sarah tells him she'll still be around and that she's looking forward to their first official date. Chuck is thrilled and begins to plan the perfect date with Sarah.

As Chuck prepares for his date, he receives a phone call from his ex-girlfriend Jill. She has moved back to town and wants to meet up with Chuck. Chuck agrees to meet with her but only as friends. When Chuck tells Sarah about his plans, she gives him a stern warning to be careful around Jill.

Meanwhile, Agent Casey is still on the hunt for the Fulcrum agent. He tracks the agent to a nearby hotel and prepares to take him down. However, the agent gets away and Casey is left empty-handed.

Chuck heads out on his date with Sarah feeling nervous but excited. He takes her to a fancy restaurant and everything seems to be going well until they are interrupted by Jill. Jill apologizes for interrupting their date and suggests they all hang out together. Sarah is suspicious of Jill's motives and tries to keep her distance.

The trio ends up at a nearby bar and Jill begins to flirt with Chuck. Sarah becomes increasingly jealous and uncomfortable. Just as things become heated between the two women, Chuck receives a phone call from Ellie. She tells him that their father is in town and wants to see them. Chuck immediately goes to meet his father, leaving Sarah and Jill alone together.

As Chuck is catching up with his father, Sarah and Jill are surrounded by Fulcrum agents. The agents are after the computer virus that Chuck and Sarah were searching for in Tokyo. Sarah tries to fight them off but they overpower her. Just as things look dire, Chuck arrives on the scene and saves Sarah and Jill.

In the end, Chuck returns to the restaurant to find Sarah waiting for him. She admits to being jealous of Jill and apologizes for her behavior. Chuck tells Sarah that he's happy she's in his life and they share a kiss.
