Tomoya and Ushio head to a rural area for a summer camp. As they settle in, Tomoya notices Ushio's drawn out expression, which gets her kicking a stone. He offers her a game of catch with the baseball glove he brought along which cheers her up, but they were still lonely. They later meet an elderly woman, Koumura-san, who runs that place. She introduces them to another guest, a man with a chronic illness by the name, Yusuke Yoshino, a former guitarist. Tomoya enjoyed talking to him about music, but Yusuke was hesitant to talk about his past.

The next day, Tomoya and Ushio went to a nearby town for souvenir shopping, and Ushio suggests visiting a grand library. Yusuke naturally was there who was surprised that two people from the camp were there too. He then revealed to Tomoya that he is considering seeing his former bandmates after a long time because of an unlikely thing that happened to him.

When they returned to the camp, Tomoya was presented with the information that Koumura-san doesn't own the land since it was supposed to be a vacation place for employees of a company since they were unable to build their facilities. They later find out that Yusuke was part of the group and composed a hymn for their company, but it wasn't used, and they stopped talking to him afterward. When the time for leaving the camp arrives, Yusuke left early to face his former bandmates and wish them luck without Tomoya knowing till later.

While returning to the city in a bus with Ushio, Tomoya is shown experiencing a strange sense of déjà vu, and this makes him nervous. As they approach a certain spot on the road, the bus falls off a cliff.
