Ep 2. The Mad Woman in the Attic (2)

In the second episode of the first season of Cracker, entitled "The Mad Woman in the Attic (2)," viewers are brought deeper into the gritty world of forensic psychology. The episode continues the storyline from the first episode, following the main character, Dr. Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald, as he works to solve a complex murder case in Manchester, England.

As the episode opens, Fitz is still haunted by the previous case he worked on, in which a young boy was brutally murdered. He feels guilty that he wasn't able to solve the case and that the killer is still out there. But he doesn't have much time to dwell on it, as he is soon pulled into a new case.

The victim in this case is a young woman who was found dead in her home, murdered with a pair of scissors. Her husband is the prime suspect, but Fitz isn't convinced of his guilt. As he delves deeper into the case, he discovers that the victim had a history of mental illness and had been institutionalized in a nearby hospital.

Fitz begins to suspect that the true killer may actually be one of the staff members at the hospital, possibly someone who had a vendetta against the victim or who was simply unstable themselves. He goes undercover, posing as a patient, in order to try and gather more information about the staff and their potential motives.

As Fitz infiltrates the hospital, he encounters a number of disturbed patients, including one woman who is convinced that she is being held captive in the building's attic. Fitz dismisses her claims at first, thinking that she is simply delusional, but he soon discovers that there may be some truth to her story.

As he continues to investigate, Fitz begins to unravel a web of lies, secrets, and betrayal. The Mad Woman in the Attic (2) is a thrilling episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, as they try to piece together the clues along with Fitz and figure out the identity of the killer before it's too late.
