Ep 8. The Tribunal

In the eighth episode of the ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, titled "The Tribunal," Larry David finds himself in a dispute over a coffee shop table with fellow comedian, Bob Einstein (playing himself). After Larry's attempt to save the table from being taken away by the garbage truck leads to a chain of events that ends with Bob getting injured, the comedian demands that Larry pay his medical expenses.

However, Larry finds himself in a tricky situation when he realizes that Bob was actually faking his injury in order to extort money from him. With the help of his long-suffering lawyer, Jeff (Jeff Garlin), and former enemy turned ally, Susie (Susie Essman), Larry decides to take the matter to a "tribunal," where a group of his friends will decide whether or not he should pay Bob's medical expenses.

As Larry prepares for the tribunal, he finds himself getting caught up in a series of misadventures involving a motorcycle gang, a pair of sunglasses, and a misunderstanding over a gift basket. Meanwhile, Jeff struggles to keep his marriage intact as his wife, Susie, threatens to divorce him over his unwillingness to stand up to Larry.

In the end, the tribunal proves to be an unpredictable affair, with Larry's fate hanging in the balance as his friends argue over whether or not he should pay Bob's medical bills. As always, Larry manages to find humor in the absurdity of his situation, and the episode ends on a satisfyingly absurd note that will leave viewers laughing and cheering for more.
