When Detective Brett Harper, played by Taye Diggs, is arrested for a murder he didn't commit, he thinks things can't get any worse. He is interrogated by a man he doesn't know and finds out the murdered man is also someone he doesn't know. It doesn't take long for him to realize he is being framed. As he is taken into a holding cell and his day from Hell begins to sink to a close, he wakes up. As Detective Harper begins a new day he realizes that what happened was not just a bad dream, it had happened and it was happening again. He is forced to relive the day he was framed for murder over and over, to be arrested over and over, and to know he is innocent over and over. Armed with the information he learns as he relives the day he begins to spend his time finding as much out as he can about why he is being framed and who is framing him. As he lives the day again and again things become more and more complicated. He realizes that his decisions and events he affects can sometimes alter events and change people the next time he repeats the day. The people in Brett's life begin to get sucked into the conspiracy to frame him and soon their lives are in danger as well as his. Rita, his girlfriend, played by Moon Bloodgood, becomes a target of those framing him. Andrea, played by Victoria Pratt, is Brett's partner and is being investigated due to past dealings.
