Ep 2. Into the Dalek

The Doctor is back and this time he's on a mission to save the universe from a dangerous enemy - the Daleks. In season 8, episode 2 "Into the Dalek," the Doctor and his companion Clara must go inside a Dalek to find out why it has turned good.

The episode begins with the Doctor and Clara being transported onto a ship that is under attack by the Daleks. After fighting off the Daleks, they are greeted by a woman named Journey Blue who tells them that they are on a mission to go inside a Dalek. The Doctor is initially skeptical, but Journey tells him that the Dalek they are going inside has turned good and may hold the key to defeating the other Daleks.

Upon entering the Dalek, the Doctor and Clara are miniaturized and enter the Dalek's consciousness. They discover that the Dalek has been infected by a virus that has caused it to develop emotions and question the morality of the Dalek race. The Doctor and Clara work to rid the Dalek of the virus and repair its damaged systems, all while the ship is under attack by the rest of the Dalek fleet.

As they progress through the Dalek's consciousness, they come across a group of rebels who are fighting against the Daleks. One of the rebels, Ross, is injured and the Doctor is forced to use a device to enter his mind and heal his injuries. The process is successful, but the Doctor discovers that Ross harbors a deep hatred for the Daleks and is willing to sacrifice innocent lives if it means defeating them. The Doctor is appalled and saddened by Ross's hatred and tries to show him the beauty of life. Ultimately, Ross sacrifices himself to save the mission and the rest of the ship's crew.

As the Doctor and Clara continue to repair the Dalek, they come across a memory of the original Dalek being created. The Doctor is horrified by what he sees and takes the opportunity to show Clara the true evil of the Daleks. The Dalek soon awakens and goes rogue, attacking the crew of the ship and attempting to self-destruct. The Doctor and Clara are forced to make a difficult decision to destroy the Dalek, despite its newfound morality.

"Into the Dalek" is a thrilling episode that showcases the Doctor's compassion and willingness to find good even in the most unlikely of places. It also delves deeper into the longstanding conflict between the Daleks and the Doctor, and poses challenging questions about morality and the nature of good and evil.
