Ep 2. The Mad Dogs vs. Line Drive 25

The popular Nickelodeon game show Double Dare returns in 2018, and in season 1 episode 2, two teams compete in a variety of messy and challenging physical challenges to win cash prizes.

In this episode, the Mad Dogs take on Line Drive 25. The Mad Dogs are a team of four male friends who love to play basketball, while Line Drive 25 is a team of three sisters who are passionate about softball and baseball. Both teams are eager to win and ready to get messy.

Host Liza Koshy introduces the teams and explains the rules of the game. In the first challenge, called "Hammer Head," two players from each team must use a giant foam hammer to hit a beach ball that's floating in a pool of slime. The first team to hit the ball three times wins the challenge and earns $300.

Next up is "Ball & Chain," where one team member is chained to a large bouncy ball while another team member tries to bounce the ball enough times to reach a bucket and fill it with slime. The team that fills the bucket first wins $200.

After a quick break for a slime shower, the teams move on to "Down the Hatch," a gross-out challenge where team members take turns eating strange and unusual foods like pickled pig's feet, sardines, and fried crickets. The first team to eat all three foods and make it to the finish line wins $300.

The fourth challenge, "Gooey Breath," is a nod to the classic game of Charades. One team member uses a mouthpiece that stretches their lips and makes it difficult to speak clearly while the other team member tries to guess the word or phrase they are saying. The team with the most correct guesses at the end of the round wins $200.

In "The Mouserine," one team member wears a giant mouse costume while another team member tries to throw cheese slices onto the mouse's head. The first team to get five cheese slices on the mouse wins $300.

The final challenge, called "Pie in the Pants," is a messy and exciting race to the finish line. One team member wears a pair of oversized pants filled with whipped cream pies while the other team member tries to toss more pies into the pants. The first team to cross the finish line with all three pies in the pants wins $500 and goes on to the Obstacle Course.

In the Obstacle Course, the winning team has up to 60 seconds to navigate through a series of messy and challenging obstacles, including a giant nose that needs to be picked, a slide filled with slime, and a large ball pit. If the team successfully completes the course, they win a grand prize of $1000 and the chance to come back and defend their title in the next episode.
