Homura shows her sword skills while Rebecca uses her Ether Gear to fend off the attacks, and Shiki uses his Gravity Ether Gear to create a shield to protect them.

They finally reach the Chronophage, but it's guarded by a powerful creature. The creature attacks the trio and, at first, it seems like they might be defeated. But then, Shiki has a sudden revelation about his Ether Gear powers and manages to defeat the creature.

With the Chronophage in their possession, they activate the device and successfully contact Mother. Mother reveals to Shiki that he is a being known as Demon King, and that she has been waiting for his arrival for a long time. She also reveals that all the robots on the planet were created by her and that she was responsible for resurrecting Xenolith every time she died.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Mother tells Shiki that she has one more task for him to complete before she can reveal his true identity. The trio is left wondering what could be the next task that Mother has in store for them.
