Meanwhile, David had become involved with a satanic cult. He would often take Cindy to their meetings, and she was horrified by what she saw. The members of the cult would chant and participate in bizarre rituals. David told Cindy that they needed to make sacrifices to the devil and that he was chosen to lead the group.

Cindy was terrified of David, but she also couldn't resist his charm. He was the only person who showed her any affection, and she craved his attention. As a result, she began to participate in the cult's rituals and even started to believe in their beliefs.

Eventually, Cindy was able to escape David's control and move back to Indiana. However, the trauma of her experiences continued to haunt her for years. She struggled with addiction and unstable relationships.

Now, decades later, Cindy reflects on how her early experiences shaped her life. She is grateful for the people who helped her along the way and for the strength she found to survive.
