  • November 15, 2016

The show First Dates (AU) is back with a brand new season, and in episode 3, we are introduced to a fresh batch of hopeful singles seeking love and companionship. The format of the show remains the same - each episode features a group of individuals who have never met before, paired up for a romantic dinner date at a trendy restaurant in Sydney.

As we dive into episode 3, we see the show's producers have once again curated a diverse and intriguing mix of singles from all different backgrounds, ages, and walks of life. From a shy but charming accountant looking to break out of his shell, to a bold and confident hairdresser hoping to find someone who can keep up with her energetic personality, each person brings their own unique set of quirks and qualities to the table.

The first couple we meet in episode 3 is Rick and Alex. Both in their early 30s, the two instantly hit it off over their shared love of travel and adventure. As the night progresses, they delve deeper into conversations about family, values and what they're looking for in a partner. Despite some initial nerves, Rick and Alex seem to be clicking on all levels, and the chemistry between them is palpable.

Next up, we meet Arianne and Jack, two young professionals in their mid-20s who both work in the technology industry. While initially drawn to each other's intelligence and ambition, Arianne and Jack quickly find themselves at odds over some fundamental views on life and relationships. As the night progresses, tensions start to rise, and the two struggle to find common ground. Will they be able to find a way to see eye-to-eye, or will they have to agree to disagree?

We then meet Angela, a bubbly 45-year-old divorcee who is eager to find love again after a tumultuous marriage. Paired with 50-year-old avid surfer, James, the two hit it off over their shared love of the beach and the laid-back Australian lifestyle. But, as the evening goes on, Angela starts to feel uneasy about their age difference and struggles with some insecurities related to her past marriage. Will James be able to put her at ease and make a real connection, or will their age gap prove to be too big of an obstacle to overcome?

Later on, we meet 32-year-old pub manager, Adam, who has been single for several years after a string of disastrous relationships. Paired with 29-year-old teacher, Daisy, the two quickly bond over their shared love of music and their quirky sense of humor. But, as the night wears on, Adam starts to get cold feet, worried that he's not quite ready to take the leap into a serious relationship again. Will Daisy be able to convince him to take a chance on love, or will Adam retreat back into his shell?

The final couple we meet in episode 3 is Luisa and Gary, both in their 40s and looking for something more substantial than casual dating. While Luisa is hesitant about opening up, Gary is a natural conversationalist and starts to charm her with his wit and intelligence. Despite some initial awkwardness around their different cultural backgrounds, the two soon find themselves lost in conversation, and it becomes clear that they share many of the same values and aspirations for the future.

Overall, episode 3 of First Dates (AU) showcases a wide range of personalities and styles, from quirky and silly to more serious and introspective. Whether it's laughter and light-hearted banter, or deeper discussions about life and love, each date is a unique glimpse into the world of modern dating. With the help of the show's expert matchmakers and the romantic ambiance of the restaurant, these singles all have the potential to find love and lasting connections.
