The first couple to be introduced is Leanne and Michael. Leanne is a primary school teacher from Perth, and Michael is a security guard from Sydney. The two have different backgrounds, but they bond over their love for travel and being on the go. Throughout the date, they have multiple things in common, and the conversation flows comfortably. However, they have to navigate their different working schedules that might hinder them from continuing a relationship.
Next up is Bianca and Brett, and they both come from the same city of Wollongong. Bianca is a single mum of two, and Brett is a carpenter who enjoys surfing. They both bond over their love for the ocean, but things become a bit awkward when Brett asks Bianca about her kids. Bianca is hesitant to open up, but eventually does, and the date ends successfully.
In the next segment, we are introduced to Nathan, a personal trainer from Melbourne, and Amira, a businesswoman from Sydney. Nathan immediately hits it off with Amira, and they talk about their common love for fitness. While Nathan is awed by Amira's ambition and drive for her business, Amira takes him on a journey to understand the power of vulnerability and the importance of opening up about emotions.
The fourth couple for the episode is Debbie and Peter. Debbie is from Melbourne and Peter is from Sydney. They both admit to being nervous, but their conversation flows easily. They discuss their previous relationships, their kids and their outlook on life. Things are going well until Peter reveals that he is a bit anxious about going on a second date with Debbie, and their date comes to an early end.
The penultimate couple for the episode is Jayden, an art teacher from Melbourne, and Dan, a drag queen entertainer from Sydney. The two have a lot of chemistry, and their date starts off on a high note. They both discuss their passion for self-expression, and Dan takes Jayden out of his comfort zone by getting him to participate in a little bit of makeover. Things are going well until Dan reveals a secret that leaves Jayden wondering if things would work out between them.
The final couple for the episode is Karen and John. Both in their 50's, Karen is an artist from Melbourne while John is a musician.
