Fred: The Show is based on the character of Fred Figglehorn created and played by internet sensation Lucas Cruikshank. The show, aired on Nickelodeon, follows 16 year old Fred as he hilariously attempts to navigate the trials and tribulations of his every day life. Fred is the only son of single mom Hilda Figglehorn, played by Siobhan Fallon Hogan, who spends most of her days incapacitated and clueless as to what is going on in Fred's life. Fred gets most of his parental advice from his imaginary dad, played by famous wrestler John Cena, who pops up whenever Fred is not quite sure what to do in a given situation. Fred, despite his personality quirks, manages to get through life and high school because of his overly active imagination and his best friend Bertha, played by actress Daniella Monet, who embraces Fred's weird side as she has an odd side of her own. Fred does face quite a few challenges in his life though. One of his main challenges, besides his hysterically high pitched voice and the weird clothes he always wears, is his arch nemesis Kevin Dawg, played by Jake Weary. Kevin torments Fred, not only at school where he makes fun of him for his strange behavior and goofy stunts, but also at home as Kevin is Fred's next door neighbor. Fred also faces trouble in his love life, as he pines for the love of bad girl Holly, played by Gracie Dzienny who has been warned to stay away from Fred by everyone, including Fred's own mother. Fred usually manages to come out on top of most situations by using his ingenuity, like when he needs to make money and creates a lemonade stand in Lemon Fred or by just embracing his oddness like in the episode Spirit of the 90's where Fred learns all about 90's culture so that he can successfully attend his school's 90's themed dance with a date.
