Ep 2. Episode 2
Girls Hostel is an Indian coming-of-age sitcom which revolves around four girls from diverse backgrounds who live together in a hostel in Mumbai. Episode two starts with the girls waking up to a power cut in the hostel. They are initially scared, but shrug it off and start discussing their routine for the day. Zahira (played by Shristi Shrivastava) is nervous about her internship interview later that day, while Richa (played by Parul Gulati) is excited about her date with her crush.
The girls jog in the park, discussing their love lives, while Jo (played by Srishti Rindani) teaches them how to make chai in a traditional Indian way. On their way back to the hostel, they notice a fancy car parked outside their main gate. They speculate about who it could be and what their purpose is. Meanwhile, Zahira is prepping for her interview when she realizes she's forgotten her resume. She's frustrated and asks the other girls for their help.
The girls pool in to help Zahira with her resume and the task of getting her internship in a design studio. Richa and Akanksha (played by Ahsaas Channa) interview her, trying to get to know her better and understand her strengths and weaknesses. Zahira impresses them with her passion and the diverse set of skills she brings to the table. This scene shows the strong bond between the girls and the way they support each other.
Later that evening, we see Richa preparing herself for the date, trying on multiple outfits and getting her hair done while the other girls give their inputs. She talks about how she's excited to meet this guy, but nervous about making a wrong impression. Each of the girls shares stories of their first date and the fun times they've had.
The car parked outside makes its way inside the gate, and a surprise guest enters the hostel. It's a popular female rapper named Hard Kaur (played by herself), who was also Richa's date. She introduces herself to everyone and starts mingling with the girls, cracking jokes and having fun. The girls are starstruck and don't know how to react to Hard Kaur being in their midst.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger with a phone call from Richa's date momentously changing her emotions. With Zahira's successful interview and Richa's surprising date, the girls are in for an adventurous time ahead. The second episode brings out the fun-loving side of the girls and portrays their bond with each other. The cliffhanger ending serves to keep the viewer curious about what's going to happen next and makes them want to watch the next episode.
