Ep 8. Tongue Tied

Joshua "Billy" McBride, a once-successful lawyer, is back again in the eighth episode of Goliath season 2, titled "Tongue Tied." In this episode, Billy finds himself in a strange place as he is pulled back into his shady past and the consequences that come with it.

Billy is still dealing with the aftermath of his sister's hit and run accident, which he believes was orchestrated by the villainous company, Borns Tech. While gaining evidence, he finds himself caught up in the dark, seedy world of the porn industry. He soon learns that Borns Tech is more involved in the entertainment industry than he initially thought, leading him to come face to face with a web of deceit and corruption that goes beyond his wildest imaginations.

As Billy continues his investigation, he discovers that his sources are being suppressed and tampered with. His every move seems to be getting thwarted, and he is starting to feel like he is in a game of cat and mouse. Meanwhile, Tina (played by Amy Brenneman) returns to her hometown and reconnects with a former lover, which complicates her relationship with Billy.

The episode takes a dark turn when Billy visits a seedy nightclub as part of his investigation. He meets a woman named Randi, who works for a nefarious figure named King, who has ties to the porn industry. Randi provides Billy with information that takes him down a path he never expected.

As the episode progresses, Billy tries to piece together the information he has gathered so far. He starts to suspect that Borns Tech and King are working together to bury the truth about his sister's accident. He desperately tries to find a way to connect these dots. He is tongue-tied and alone in his pursuit of justice, and it is becoming more apparent with every passing moment.

In the final moments of the episode, Billy comes face to face with some harsh realities. All the pieces he has gathered start to fall into place as he realizes that he has been played by those he trusted most. "Tongue Tied" sets the stage for the end of a dramatic season-two of Goliath.
