Ep 1. Crunch Time

In "grown-ish" season 3 episode 1, titled "Crunch Time," Zoey Johnson is back for her junior year at Cal U, but things are looking a bit different. Following the events of the season 2 finale, Zoey is still reeling from her breakup with Aaron and trying to balance her schoolwork with her newfound responsibilities as a fashion assistant.

As Zoey tries to navigate a campus full of new faces, she also faces major choices that will impact her future, including her career aspirations and the status of her relationships with her friends. Meanwhile, Jazz and Sky try to balance their own personal struggles with the demands of college life, and Luca grapples with his own feelings following Zoey's rejection.

On top of all this, Zoey's beloved mentor and the head of her fashion program, Professor Hewson (Kate Burton), is retiring. As Zoey and her classmates gear up for their final fashion show, they find themselves struggling to come up with fresh ideas and trying to impress the notoriously tough guest judge (Laverne Cox).

With all of this drama and pressure weighing down on her, Zoey must find a way to stay focused and motivated, while also learning to be true to herself and pursue her passions. Will she be able to rise to the occasion and succeed in this pivotal moment of her life, or will she crumble under the pressure and lose her way?
