In Haunted Hospitals season 1 episode 8, titled "Campus Haunting," viewers are taken on a spooky journey through the halls of McGill University's medical building. The episode begins with Dr. Alana Fleet, a surgical resident, recounting her eerie encounters on the job. She explains that on several occasions, she has felt an unsettling and hostile presence as she worked late into the night. One night, she even felt as though someone or something was physically pushing her.

Next, we hear from Dr. Ruth Penfold-Mounce, a criminologist and expert in the psychology of hauntings. Dr. Penfold-Mounce explains that McGill University's medical building was once used as a hospital during World War II, and the trauma and death that took place there may have left an imprint on the building. According to Dr. Penfold-Mounce, the building is ripe for paranormal activity.

The episode then shifts to the story of Dr. Michael Shevell, a pediatric neurologist who works in the same building. Dr. Shevell has experienced bizarre occurrences in his office, including objects inexplicably moving and doors opening and closing on their own. He's even seen the ghostly apparition of a woman in a nurse's uniform. Dr. Shevell shares his experiences with paranormal investigator Darryll Walsh, who agrees to investigate the building.

As Walsh investigates, we learn that many other staff members and students have felt the presence of ghosts in the building. A receptionist tells Walsh about a ghostly nurse who wanders the halls, and Dr. Fleet shares a story of a colleague who felt a cold hand on his shoulder when no one was around.

With the help of high-tech equipment, Walsh and his team begin their investigation. They set up cameras, motion sensors, and EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) recording devices. As they explore the building, they capture strange sounds and voices on their devices.

One of the most spine-chilling moments in the episode occurs when Walsh and his team hear a voice whisper "hello" in a corridor. The team sets up a camera and leaves it running for a couple of hours. When they review the footage, they find even more eerie evidence. Doors open and close on their own, and objects move without explanation.

The investigation culminates in a terrifying encounter in Dr. Shevell's office. Walsh and his team capture evidence of a spirit moving a photograph on Dr. Shevell's desk. Dr. Shevell himself experiences a sense of dread and has to leave the room. As Walsh reviews the footage, he is stunned by what he sees.

Throughout the episode, viewers are treated to spine-tingling reenactments of the hospital's dark history. We see patients writhing in agony, nurses struggling to keep up with the influx of wounded soldiers, and even bodies piling up in the hallways. The reenactments serve to underscore the trauma and tragedy that took place in the building and the potential for that trauma to manifest as paranormal activity.

Overall, "Campus Haunting" is a thrilling and chilling episode of Haunted Hospitals. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the evidence presented is compelling and sure to give even the most skeptical viewer goosebumps.
