In the first episode of Hello Ninja season 3, titled "Welcome to Japan," the lovable ninja trio - Wesley, Georgie, and Baa - embark on a fun-filled adventure to Japan with their grandparents. The episode opens with the grandkids receiving letters from their grandparents in Japan, who invite them over for a visit. Excited about their impending trip, the three young ninjas set about packing and getting ready.
Upon arrival, they are greeted by their grandparents, and the fun starts almost immediately. Wesley is astounded by the modern bullet train, which takes them from the airport to the city in just a few hours. Meanwhile, Georgie is enthralled by the beautiful cherry blossom trees in full bloom, while Baa gets lost in the hustle and bustle of the busy city.
The young ninjas are taken on a tour of the city by their grandparents, who show them the highlights of Japan, including Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace, and a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. The grandparents also teach them about Japanese culture and customs, such as how to bow properly, how to use chopsticks, and how to say "hello" and "thank you" in Japanese.
The kids are amazed by the sights and sounds of Japan, and it's not long before they come across a new challenge. They spot a group of local kids playing a game of kendama, a traditional Japanese toy consisting of a ball attached to a string and a wooden cup. Intrigued, they ask the other kids if they can join in.
At first, the ninjas struggle to successfully land the ball in the cup, but with a little encouragement from their grandparents, they keep practicing. Eventually, they manage to get the hang of it, and they spend the rest of the day playing kendama with their new friends.
As they wander around the city, the kids stumble across a street performer playing a traditional Japanese drums called taiko. The pounding rhythm of the drums is infectious, and soon the ninjas are dancing along with the other spectators. However, things take a turn when a mischievous monkey steals Wesley's favorite hat.
Despite their best efforts, the ninjas are unable to retrieve the hat from the prankster monkey. However, they soon discover that the monkey's antics have landed him in trouble, and they must use their ninja skills to help him out of a sticky situation.
Finally, the episode ends with the ninjas and their grandparents enjoying a relaxing evening at a traditional Japanese hot spring, or onsen. As they soak in the hot water and take in the beautiful surroundings, the kids reflect on their incredible journey and all the new experiences they've had.
