Ep 4. Bad Day in Building A

In Highlander: The Series season 1 episode 4 titled "Bad Day in Building A," we see Duncan MacLeod (played by Adrian Paul) facing another immortal who has a vendetta against him. The episode starts with Duncan receiving a phone call from his old friend and fellow immortal, Hugh Fitzcairn (played by Roger Daltrey). Hugh informs him that their mutual friend, Michael Kent, has been killed in an accident, and Duncan heads to the skyscraper where Michael worked to pay his respects.

Once Duncan arrives at the building, he realizes that something is off. He notices that there are a lot of security personnel present and that they are acting quite tense. Before he can investigate further, he runs into the immortal who is targeting him - Willis (played by Steven Grives). Willis blames Duncan for his previous death many years ago and believes that he must get revenge. In typical Highlander fashion, the two engage in a sword fight in a stairwell of the building, which ends with Duncan seeming to have the upper hand and Willis falling down the stairwell, seemingly to his death.

However, after the fight, Duncan realizes that things are still not quite right in the building. He discovers that Hugh Fitzcairn is behind everything and that he is using the cover of Michael's death to smuggle a priceless painting out of the building. Duncan confronts Fitzcairn and they have a tense conversation where Fitzcairn tries to justify his actions. Duncan ultimately stops Fitzcairn, but not before the building is destroyed in a grand finale.

This episode of Highlander: The Series is a great example of the show's format, with a mix of sword fighting, intrigue, and a twist at the end. The introduction of Fitzcairn, who becomes a recurring character throughout the series, adds a nice element of complexity to the story. Overall, "Bad Day in Building A" is an exciting and engaging episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
