Duncan MacLeod, the immortal highlander, is faced with a dilemma as he encounters an old friend from his past, Charlie DeSalvo, who has recently lost his eyesight. Duncan tries to help Charlie cope with his blindness by becoming his guide, but Charlie's despair and anger towards his loss of sight soon leads him down a dangerous and self-destructive path.
Meanwhile, a group of vigilantes, led by an immortal named Morgan, is terrorizing the city and their next victim is Charlie. Through flashbacks, we learn that Morgan and Duncan have a history from the past and that Morgan blames Duncan for the death of their mutual friend, Connor MacLeod.
As the tension builds, Charlie becomes more and more reckless, putting himself in danger and even turning on Duncan in his frustration. But when Morgan sets his sights on Charlie, Duncan must race against time to save his old friend and stop Morgan's reign of terror before it's too late.
Through a series of thrilling and emotional confrontations, Duncan, Charlie, and Morgan are forced to confront their pasts and learn to live with their respective losses. The episode culminates in a climactic showdown between Duncan and Morgan, which ultimately decides the fate of the vigilante group and the safety of the city.
