History`s Strongest Disciple Kenichi Season 1 Episode 14 Dedicated Training! Nearby Hot Spring Bath
- January 13, 2007
Kenichi and Miu are invited by Sakaki to go to a nearby hot spring bath. However, unbeknownst to them, it is actually a trap set by Sakaki in order to train Kenichi in a more harsh environment. After soaking in the hot springs, Sakaki leads Kenichi and Miu on a hike through the mountains, with Kenichi struggling to keep up with the older and more experienced martial artist. Along the way, they encounter several challenges, including crossing a river and climbing a steep cliff. Despite his physical exhaustion, Kenichi refuses to give up and is determined to keep going.
At night, they arrive at a deserted cabin, where Sakaki instructs Kenichi to chop wood for their fire. Kenichi struggles with the task at first, but eventually manages to chop wood with more strength and efficiency. Sakaki then teaches Kenichi a technique called "Seikuken", which involves using precise footwork to maintain a defensive perimeter around oneself. The next day, Sakaki takes Kenichi to a waterfall, where he must use his Seikuken to dodge boulders thrown by Sakaki.
Later, they encounter a group of thieves who attempt to rob them. Kenichi uses his newly acquired Seikuken to defend himself and Miu, but is ultimately defeated by the thieves' leader, a skilled martial artist named Ryuto. Sakaki steps in to fight Ryuto, but is also defeated. Kenichi is left to fight Ryuto alone, and must use all of the skills he has learned from his training thus far to stand a chance. In the end, Kenichi manages to defeat Ryuto using a combination of his Seikuken and his fighting spirit.
The episode ends with Kenichi and Miu having a relaxing soak in the hot springs, reflecting on the lessons they have learned from Sakaki and their recent experiences. Despite the hardships they faced, both of them are grateful for the opportunity to improve themselves and become stronger martial artists.
